About The Position

The Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and sustaining a high-performing Employee Resource Group (ERG) program that aligns with organizational strategy and fosters employee engagement, belonging, and professional development. The position establishes governance, standardizes operating practices, develops resources for ERG leaders, and provides ongoing consultation to ensure each ERG operates effectively and consistently. In addition, the Associate Consultant provides project coordination and operational support for the JEDI department by managing timelines, tracking deliverables, coordinating meetings and initiatives, and implementing systems that ensure the team remains organized, aligned, and accountable to strategic goals. Through exceptional organization, relationship management, and execution, this position helps drive the successful delivery of JEDI programs and initiatives across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferred.
  • At least two years of progressively responsible professional Human Resources experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Project management certification, or equivalent, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the conceptualization, development, communication, and implementation of programs and processes that align the organization's current and future culture and workforce with equitable business results. Works collaboratively with all departments and functions to optimize efficiencies and implement JEDI strategies.
  • Implements and maintains a cultural framework to advance organizational strategy and values.
  • Researches, develops, and implements best practices.
  • Recognizes and acknowledges existing racial and other identity-based inequities and biases, both internal and external, and partners with the organization to collectively address them.
  • Serves as a consultant to the organization, providing guidance to improve individual, team, and organizational JEDI effectiveness.
  • Interfaces with partners, collaborators, and colleagues to identify organizational culture and development needs.
  • Develops and implements project plans and leads project management activities for culture engagements to achieve desired outcomes and accomplish objectives within specified timeframes and budgets.
  • Researches trends and remains current with JEDI, culture, and organizational developments, techniques, and technologies to support the organization's current and changing needs.
  • Implements and maintains diversity, equity, inclusion, and culture education and training for executive leadership, management, and employees at all levels.
  • Collaborates with JEDI champions and stakeholders to create an inclusive network that advances JEDI and systems change in the community. Engages with the diverse workforce, JEDI champions, and leadership to promote RISE values and continued advancement of the organization's JEDI journey.
  • Manages and coordinates health equity initiatives.
  • Promotes and advises on the strategic direction of eight or more inclusion groups.
  • Manages cultural campaigns and routine projects and events.
  • Manages and organizes messaging and marketing communications strategies.
