Junior Web Developer - Entry Level/Part Time
About The Position
Nomad eCommerce is seeking an innovative and resourceful Junior Web Developer. The role is intended for Computer Science or MIS/CMIS students who are passionate about web development and want hands-on training and real-world experience. The developer will work alongside developers, SQL specialists, project managers, and UX/UI designers to contribute to web solutions that support clients’ business goals. The role includes opportunities to explore emerging technologies and frameworks, enhance internal tools with engineers, support projects from concept through launch, and grow in a culture that values creativity, accountability, and continuous growth.
Requirements
- Self-motivated and eager to learn.
- Strong written, verbal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and databases.
Nice To Haves
- Design sensibility and UX/UI knowledge.
- Understanding of accessibility, including WCAG guidelines.
- Familiarity with performance optimization tools such as Lighthouse and WebPageTest.
- API integration proficiency.
- SEO fundamentals.
- Basic backend development knowledge.
- Strong documentation and technical communication skills.
- Awareness of DevOps or CI/CD methodologies.
