Requirements

  • Technical education in IT, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, combined with IT specialist training and solid knowledge of VoIP technologies and equipment
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in VoIP environments, including hands-on experience with relevant PBX systems
  • Strong understanding of SIP, SDP, RTP, and voice routing concepts
  • Confident working with Linux command-line environments
  • Experience with Python scripting and task automation
  • Knowledge of fax technologies

Nice To Haves

  • Ideally, experience with technologies such as Ribbon/Sonus SBC and PSX, ACME/Oracle SBC, or Patton Media Gateways
  • Experience with voice carrier management and SIP trunk connectivity is a plus
  • Experience with Asterisk and/or Kamailio is highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Support business objectives by ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of the global VoIP network environment
  • Independently contribute to the design, architecture, and continuous improvement of the VoIP landscape
  • Implement changes, enhancements, and upgrades within the VoIP infrastructure
  • Ensure high availability of the data center VoIP infrastructure, including backup and disaster recovery concepts across worldwide locations
  • Collaborate on the planning and execution of VoIP network expansions and infrastructure development projects
  • Maintain secure, resilient, and high-performing VoIP network operations through proactive performance and security management
  • Ensure highly available voice connectivity, including SIP trunk management and active coordination with voice carriers
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize components within the production environment to ensure stable operations
  • Manage and optimize outbound voice routing with a focus on cost efficiency and call quality
