Torch Technologies is seeking a Junior Test Engineer (Electrical/Automated Test Systems) to join our team and support reverse engineering and test development for Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) used on weapons platforms. This role focuses on analyzing electronic hardware, developing test strategies, and supporting validation and sustainment of fielded systems through hands-on testing and automation. As a Junior Test Engineer, your duties will include the following, but are not limited to: Analyze LRUs to identify electrical interfaces, signals, and functional behaviors Reverse engineer electronic circuits to determine operational characteristics and test requirements Develop detailed test plans and procedures to validate analog, digital, power, and communication interfaces Define stimulus and measurement strategies required to verify LRU functionality Perform hands-on electronics testing using laboratory instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, power supplies, and data acquisition systems Support development of automated test procedures using PXI-based automated test systems Integrate COTS instrumentation including PXI/PXIe modules, switching systems, programmable power supplies, and measurement equipment Assist in development and execution of test sequences using automated test frameworks Perform fault isolation and troubleshooting of electronic assemblies during testing activities Document test procedures, results, and engineering findings to support sustainment and technical data packages Support hardware/software integration, debugging, and validation within lab environments Collaborate with electrical, software, and systems engineers to ensure accurate test coverage and system integration
