Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (e.g. Systems Administration, Networking) from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in a customer service and/or computer‑related role considered an asset.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with an analytical and detail‑oriented mindset.
  • Strong task, time‑management, and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer‑first approach.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; comfortable working with diverse clients, users and handling challenging situations professionally.
  • A self-starter able to work well with minimal supervision and in a team environment
  • Passion for technology and IT support, with a desire to build a long‑term career in the field.
  • Passion to learn, take initiative, and grow within a professional IT environment, with a commitment to staying current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications, etc) or the ability to obtain them.
  • Ability to travel between client sites or offices as required
  • Ability to carry, transport IT equipment to and from different locations
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on‑site and remote technical support to clients in accordance with company standard operating procedures (SOPs), KPIs, SLAs, and IT/security best practices for the following at a Tier-1 scope
  • User account management, including creation, updates, decommissioning, general account\password\lockout management, user on-boards\off-boards
  • Tier-1 level technical support of IT devices including: Workstations: Windows PCs, laptops, and macOS devices, associated peripherals along with setup, configuration, software\hardware installation, troubleshooting
  • Mobile devices (Phones & Tablets): setup, provisioning, configuration, data transfers, decommissioning
  • Office equipment: Multi-Function Printers, and other Printers (network, USB, specialty printers such as label, cheque, etc.)
  • Boardroom equipment: Meeting \ Video conferencing hardware\software, TVs, projectors, audio systems etc.
  • General installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting of all common IT hardware and software systems effectively and accurately
  • General physical installation, setup, moves of workstations, servers, IT equipment, user work areas, desk moves
  • Tier-1 level technical support for Workstation Application or SaaS application or industry specific Line of Business (LOB) Application installation, configuration, troubleshooting
  • Microsoft 365 Apps including Outlook (email), Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, etc.
  • Microsoft 365 Cloud environment Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and other Cloud technologies, Cloud Portals, Cloud Storage\Backup systems at a Tier-1 level
  • User Identity (Account) systems: Microsoft Active Directory, Entra ID, Duo, and other related systems
  • Monitoring and management of System Alerts: Outages\Offline events Server, Network, Software, Hardware, Cybersecurity
  • Network systems, including network outages, network access issues, VPN, firewalls, switches, wireless networks, VoIP phone systems, VoIP phones, DHCP, DNS at a Tier-1 level
  • Non‑traditional IT systems: including CCTV systems, building access systems\cards\fobs, building automation systems, building audio systems, timecard systems, EV systems, digital signage, and other IoT systems
  • Vendor coordination and liaison for vendor specific issues or requests
  • Escalate complex or unresolved incidents, service requests to Tier‑2 or Tier‑3 teams per company SOPs
  • Document all work performed, customer interactions, solutions, accurately & timely in the ticketing system, with complete time entries, closure notes per company SOPs
  • Provide friendly, clear, concise and professional customer service, ensuring each client feels valued and supported.
  • Respond promptly to client incidents and service requests via phone, email, chat, video call, or in person (where it is applicable or feasible).
  • Provide follow up with clients to ensure their incidents and service requests are fully resolved and provide additional guidance where necessary.
  • Travel to client sites as required.
  • Participate in after‑hours or on‑call support rotations as assigned, in accordance with company policies and applicable employment standards
  • Perform other duties consistent with role may be assigned
