About The Position

The Junior Staff Accountant supports the accounting department by assisting with day-to-day financial operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and helping ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This role works closely with senior accountants and finance staff to prepare reports, reconcile accounts, and assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
0-2 years of accounting or finance experience (internship experience may qualify)
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

Assist with daily accounting operations, including journal entries and account maintenance
Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records
Support the month-end and year-end close process
Prepare and maintain financial reports, spreadsheets, ad documentation
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, if needed
Help track and record corporate expenses and transactions
Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation
Assist in preparing materials for internal and external audits
Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and financial regulations
Collaborate with other departments regarding financial information and reporting
