Accountant - Staff Junior
About The Position
This role involves preparing and entering journal entries, performing month-end closing tasks, reconciling general ledger accounts, and interacting with various departments within the Casino. The accountant will also cross-train with other staff accountants, document and improve internal controls and processes, process W-2G forms, and perform other duties as assigned by the manager. The work environment is climate-controlled, but may involve exposure to outdoor temperatures, smoke, bright lights, noise, and paper/dust particles. Operation of various machines and equipment is also required. A Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation Gaming License is required.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and enter journal entries into Oracle accounting program
- Perform month end tasks for closing
- Reconcile general ledger accounts
- Interact with various other departments within the Casino
- Cross train with other staff accountants
- Document and improve internal controls and processes
- Process all W-2G forms
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager
