About The Position

StudioForty9 is seeking a Junior Solution Consultant to join their team. This entry-level consulting role acts as a liaison between clients and developers, understanding business needs, translating them into clear requirements, and ensuring alignment during the development process. The ideal candidate is curious, methodical, and eager to learn how to understand business problems and shape technical solutions. This is a fully remote position.

Requirements

• A qualification in IT, computer science, or a related technical field, or equivalent demonstrable self-taught experience.
• 1–3 years of experience working within an IT team (support, QA, development, data analysis, etc.).
• Comfortable reading and reasoning about code (understanding broad strokes without necessarily writing fluently).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation, tickets, and client correspondence.
• Demonstrated habit of being reliable with deadlines and proactive when issues arise.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Codex).

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to SQL (writing queries, joining tables, analyzing datasets) or a willingness to learn.
• Experience with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms (as a merchant or working on implementations).
• Background in retail operations (understanding inventory, order management, fulfillment, or POS systems).
• Experience being on client calls or presenting to stakeholders.
• Familiarity with APIs (reading documentation, testing endpoints with tools like Postman or Insomnia).

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients through calls and meetings to understand their business operations and objectives.
• Translate client needs into clear documentation, requirements, and process maps.
• Analyze existing codebases and configurations to understand current system functionality.
• Investigate data to answer questions and identify issues.
• Test new tools and integrations as part of discovery work.
• Own and manage estimates and commitments, ensuring reliability and proactive communication regarding deadlines.
• Represent the team professionally in client-facing interactions.
