About The Position

Coforma is hiring a curious, conscientious, fast-learning Junior Software Engineer for its distributed team supporting a federal government client. The position is remote and open to residents of specified US states. Some travel may be required. The selected candidate must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship and be able to pass a Public Trust background check and any applicable project-related checks.

  • Basic understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, and JSON.
  • Experience using Git for version control, including branches and pull requests.
  • Some exposure to automated testing, at minimum unit tests, and willingness to make testing a habit.

  • Curiosity and persistence in investigating problems, and ability to ask clear questions when blocked.
  • Comfort asking for help and working remotely with a team distributed across multiple time zones.
  • Full-time resident of the contiguous United States and legally authorized to work in the US now and in the future without sponsorship.
  • Ability to pass a Public Trust background check and any applicable project-related background or security checks.
