About The Position

This position is for individuals interested in a broad area of Software Engineering. The ideal candidate should have strong academic credentials and experience working in a teamwork environment and have not only academic, but also interpersonal skills to help optimize our teams. The single most important attribute is an inquisitive nature and a strong desire to learn real world applications to compliment your academic experience. Familiarity with hardware or software tools should be appropriate for your academic level.

Requirements

• Applicants must hold a Bachelors or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Signal Processing, Physics, Math, Computer Science, or a related degree
• Must be eligible to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
• Familiarity with hardware or software tools should be at a level appropriate for your academic level
• Experience with: Java programming of JEE or servlet-based applications
• JavaScript development
• C/C++ development
• Linux/Unix operating systems

Responsibilities

• Build small features, fix bugs, and update internal tools or applications under mentor guidance.
• Run tests, review logs, and find root causes of software issues to ensure reliability.
• Document features, write clean code, and participate in peer code reviews.
• Attend Agile ceremonies (like stand-ups or sprint planning) and work with product managers or other engineers.
• Explore new technologies, APIs, or cloud services required for team projects.
