This position is exclusively open to students in the process of obtaining an academic degree. Internship date: 31 August 2026 - 18 December 2026. By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to perform software development tasks on small to medium sized projects. Project work may span the entire software engineering discipline, such as requirements analysis, design, development, and testing. Detailed activities may include designing, coding, and testing software in VBA or other languages (such as C++, C#, Java); documenting software; debugging software; and conducting research in topics related to analytics, development, and test automation.

Requirements

  • Must be a student in the process of obtaining an academic degree.
  • Base understanding of programming languages in C, C++, C#, VBA, Java, or SQL.
  • Enjoys working in small teams and writing documentation and reports.
  • Strong work ethic, and is interested in learning new skills.
  • Must be able to hold Controlled Goods and Enhanced Reliability security clearance with the Government of Canada.
  • All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada and must meet the requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
  • All hires will be required to complete, sign and return the Controlled Goods Program form within a week of its transmittal.
  • Must provide a copy of their passport or birth certificate.
  • Students on a work permit must provide a copy of it and a police clearance certificate from the country or countries where they have resided in the past five years.

Nice To Haves

  • Working towards a bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics, in their 3rd or 4th year.

Responsibilities

  • Perform software development tasks on small to medium sized projects.
  • Design, code, and test software in VBA or other languages (such as C++, C#, Java).
  • Document software.
  • Debug software.
  • Conduct research in topics related to analytics, development, and test automation.
