About The Position

As a Junior Software developer, you can work independently with some guidance to resolve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast, agile environment. We’re looking for an experienced developer like you with object-oriented programming skills needed to develop, test, and deploy software. This role is more than just coding. As a Junior Software developer at Booz Allen, you’ll use your passion to master new tools and techniques and identify needed system improvements. You’ll help clients overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. You’ll make sure the solution developed by the team considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements. Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in software development
  • Experience in creating solutions to problems within a collaborative, cross-functional team
  • Knowledge of databases and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks
  • Knowledge of programming languages, including C#, Python, or Java
  • Knowledge of version control, including Git
  • Knowledge of REST APIs
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT II Certification, including Security+, within 30 days of start date

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with DevSecOps CI/CD tools, including GitLab
  • Experience with C#, .NET and .NET Core, Web API, MVC, or LINQ
  • Experience with database technologies, including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
  • Experience with Scripting languages, including PowerShell or Python
  • Experience with JavaScript libraries and frameworks, including jQuery, d3, React, or Vue
  • Experience with Containers, including Docker or Kubernetes
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
