About The Position

Savaria is looking for a motivated and customer-focused junior IT professional to join their Service Desk team on a full-time, 1-year contract. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone with 1–2 years of experience looking to grow their technical skills in a dynamic enterprise environment. The successful candidate will support end-users across multiple sites and contribute to the management of their device, identity, and telephony infrastructure. This position will be 100% on site at 2 Walker Drive, Brampton, Ontario, Canada.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field – or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Working knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • 1–2 years of IT support experience is an asset.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote support tools is a plus.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Intune and/or Apple Business Manager is a strong asset.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and basic Windows Server concepts is an asset.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications (MD-102, MS-900) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Assist in the setup and configuration of computers, peripherals, and software applications.
  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests.
  • Track issues through resolution or escalation via the helpdesk system.
  • Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams as needed.
  • Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and supplies.
  • Assist with user account management and access control.
  • Documentation of IT processes, procedures, systems, and incidents as appropriate.
  • Participate in IT projects and initiatives as required.
  • Manage and enroll devices using Microsoft Intune (MDM/MAM), including policy configuration, compliance monitoring, and app deployment.
  • Administer Apple devices through Apple Business Manager (ABM), including Automated Device Enrollment (ADE) and VPP app licensing.
  • Perform basic Windows Server administration tasks including user/group management, shared folder permissions, and print services.
  • Support Active Directory user account lifecycle management, group policies, and organizational unit (OU) structure.
