About The Position

This position is contingent upon a future opening with Gunnison. This will be a short-term 6-month position. The role involves executing operational cybersecurity functions, triaging and analyzing security alerts, supporting continuous monitoring activities, coordinating incident response actions, identifying and mitigating operational risks, and maintaining compliance and supporting threat detection workflows.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in SOC operations and incident response.
• Hands-on experience analyzing security alerts and supporting threat detection workflows.
• Strong knowledge of the NIST RMF and evaluating system configurations.
• Security+, CySA+, or equivalent certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or related field.
• Active Secret Clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Incident Response certification (e.g., GCIH) or Cloud Security certification.
• Specialized training in digital forensics or incident response.
