About The Position

This position is contingent upon a future opening with Gunnison. This will be a short-term 6-month position. The salary range for this position depends upon multiple factors including location, the individual's knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, and contract-specific budget constraints and organizational requirements. Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in SOC operations and incident response.
  • Hands-on experience analyzing security alerts and supporting threat detection workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of the NIST RMF and evaluating system configurations.
  • Security+, CySA+, or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or related field.
  • Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Incident Response certification (e.g., GCIH) or Cloud Security certification.
  • Specialized training in digital forensics or incident response.

Responsibilities

  • Execute operational cybersecurity functions.
  • Triage and analyze security alerts.
  • Support continuous monitoring activities.
  • Coordinate incident response actions.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks.
  • Maintain compliance and support threat detection workflows.
