About The Position

SOUTHLAND is currently seeking a full-time Junior Recruiter to join our fun, talented and dedicated recruiting team! Reporting to the Recruitment Manager, the Recruiter is responsible for full-cycle recruiting, and ensuring company-wide compliance with the recruiting program. Typical positions to be filled are part-time/full-time drivers and maintenance personnel. The Junior Recruiter will play a critical role in ensuring that SOUTHLAND hires talented people who share in the dedication of a company committed to Safety and Service.

Requirements

• High level of confidentiality
• Calm demeanor and a friendly, approachable manner
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management abilities

• Willingness to work occasional overtime and weekends, as required

Responsibilities

• Provide information about job inquiries via phone, trade shows or recruitment booths
• Liaise with training department to organize and book training
• Full-cycle recruiting on very tight deadlines
• Administer drug/alcohol tests on applicants
• Prepare pre-employment and new hire paperwork as per company and legislative requirements
• Attend job fairs and career events / in-house job fairs and career events
• Revise employee files to ensure complete and accurate information
• Various administrative duties
