About The Position

StenTech is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Junior Quality Control Inspector to join our team in our Hillsboro, OR facility. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our products meet customer specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a keen eye for detail, and enjoys hands-on work inspecting precision metal components. Candidate does not need to have all Qualifications but should know what a CNC machine is and how it works. Junior candidates should come prepared to ask questions from senior inspectors who know what to look for and how to inspect parts.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, etc.
  • Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, customer specifications, and inspection requirements.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to accurately enter inspection data and maintain electronic quality records.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects, non-conformances, and dimensional discrepancies.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Reliable, dependable, and committed to producing high-quality work.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous quality control, inspection, manufacturing, or related experience helpful.
  • Knowledge of GD&T is helpful.
  • Knowledge of CNC machining processes or experience inspecting machined components preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming, in-process, first article (first part buyoff), finished, and outgoing metal parts to verify compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and production requirements.
  • Perform incoming inspections of supplier materials and final inspections of finished products before shipment.
  • Review inspection paperwork, work orders, and supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness, and final approval.
  • Identify, document, and communicate defects, discrepancies, and non-conforming materials.
  • Use precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and other inspection tools to verify dimensions and product quality.
  • Read and interpret customer blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements.
  • Visually inspect products for defects, damage, workmanship issues, and dimensional inconsistencies while handling precision metal components with care.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining efficiency and attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
