About The Position

The Quality Assurance & Reporting Specialist is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of all laboratory data and reporting activities. This role supports the laboratory’s quality management program by monitoring adherence to regulatory standards, reviewing analytical data for accuracy and trends, and preparing client-ready reports. The position plays a critical role in maintaining data quality, supporting audits and certifications, and communicating effectively with both internal teams and external clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related scientific discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience in laboratory quality assurance, data review, regulatory compliance, or related field (preferred).
  • Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and data reporting tools.
  • Strong understanding of QA/QC principles and regulatory frameworks.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
  • Ability to review and process large volumes of complex data with precision.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify anomalies, patterns, and trends.
  • Highly organized with strong documentation and reporting skills.
  • Comfortable working with complex systems, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective communication skills for both internal collaboration and client interaction.
  • Reliable, accountable, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Review analytical and Quality Control (QC) data to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards.
  • Identify errors, inconsistencies, and data trends that may indicate underlying issues prior to report release.
  • Prepare, review, and finalize laboratory reports and associated documentation for clients.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the laboratory’s Quality Management System in compliance with standards such as TNI, EPA, ASTM, and Standard Methods.
  • Monitor laboratory operations to ensure adherence to SOPs, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Maintain and evaluate QC metrics including accuracy, precision, and method detection limits.
  • Develop and maintain quality control charts, trend analyses, and data integrity checks.
  • Generate QA reports for management, clients, and regulatory agencies.
  • Conduct internal audits and assist with external audits and inspections, including follow-up and resolution of findings.
  • Assist with initiating and identifying corrective actions in order to maintain data quality
  • Maintain QA documentation including SOPs, manuals, and method updates on a scheduled basis.
  • Assist in managing laboratory certifications, proficiency testing programs, and regulatory submissions.
  • Review new or revised methods and protocols for applicability and performance.
  • Communicate with clients to address questions, discrepancies, or concerns related to reports and data.
  • Support preparation of staff competency and capability demonstrations.
