About The Position

We are seeking a Junior QA Analyst/Tester with 5+ years of experience in functional, automation, API, and database testing. The role requires strong hands-on expertise with Katalon, Postman, REST APIs, and automated test execution. The ideal candidate will have experience in writing test cases, defect tracking, CI/CD integration, and ensuring software quality across applications and microservices environments. This is a remote role for candidates based in California, USA.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Software QA and Testing
• Strong experience in Functional/Manual Testing and Automation Testing
• Hands-on experience with Katalon, Selenium, TestNG, or similar tools
• Expertise in API testing using Postman or SoapUI
• Experience with Database Testing and SQL queries
• Good understanding of SDLC, QA methodologies, and defect lifecycle
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment
• Candidates must be from California, USA

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and execute functional and automation test cases
• Perform API testing for RESTful APIs, Web Services, and Microservices using Postman
• Create and maintain automated test scripts using Katalon and other automation tools
• Identify, document, track, and report software defects
• Execute database testing and validate backend data integrity
• Collaborate with developers and cross-functional teams to resolve issues
• Prepare test reports and maintain QA documentation
• Support CI/CD testing processes and continuous quality improvements
