About The Position

We are seeking a Junior Project Manager to join our Remedial Construction team in Ballston Spa, NY. This position will work closely with the environmental program manager, field service manager, environmental and mechanical engineers and other project managers within our group to continue to advance and grow our environmental construction group in the Ballston Spa office.

Requirements

Relevant bachelor’s degree is required
Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Valid New York State Driver’s License and be able to pass a criminal background check.
Must have a reliable form of transportation to get to and from work daily.

Nice To Haves

Preferred a minimum of 3 to 10 + years of project manager experience
Experience working under a state contract and completing solicitations for subcontractors a plus.
40-hour HAZWOPER certification (is a plus, will train the right candidate)
10-hour Construction Safety certification (is a plus, will train the right candidate)

Responsibilities

Effective leadership in a matrix organization
Initiation, planning, executing, building a comprehensive work plan, controlling and managing the risks, scope, schedule and budget, along with closing out projects
Managing subcontractors on projects
Being the main point of contact between subcontractors and the client. The project manager should be responsible for monitoring and measuring project performance throughout the project and resolving any contract disputes related to cost, scope and schedule.
