About The Position

The Junior Project Manager supports the successful planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, clients, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with company quality standards. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to develop into a Project Manager role within a fast-paced commercial construction environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent construction experience may be considered.
  • 1–3 years of construction project management, field engineering, estimating, or superintendent experience.
  • Commercial construction experience preferred.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Procore or similar construction management software.
  • Bluebeam Revu.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
  • Basic understanding of project scheduling software.
  • Construction project lifecycle knowledge.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Professionalism and customer service mindset.
  • Team collaboration and adaptability.

Nice To Haves

  • Interior construction, retail, hospitality, or high-end commercial experience is a plus.
  • OSHA 30 Certification.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Experience with commercial interior projects.
  • Experience working with general contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing multiple construction projects simultaneously.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, procurement, and execution activities.
  • Coordinate with Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants.
  • Participate in project meetings and prepare meeting minutes and action items.
  • Monitor project milestones and assist with schedule updates.
  • Assist with project budgeting and cost tracking.
  • Review subcontractor invoices, pay applications, and purchase orders.
  • Support change order preparation and tracking.
  • Maintain accurate project cost records and documentation.
  • Assist with forecasting project costs and cash flow requirements.
  • Maintain project files, contracts, permits, drawings, and correspondence.
  • Track Requests for Information (RFIs), Submittits, and Change Orders.
  • Ensure project documentation is complete and properly stored.
  • Coordinate document distribution among project stakeholders.
  • Assist in obtaining bids and pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Coordinate material deliveries and procurement schedules.
  • Follow up on lead times and ensure timely delivery of critical materials.
  • Maintain vendor and subcontractor communications.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress.
  • Coordinate with field personnel to identify and resolve project issues.
  • Support quality control and project closeout activities.
  • Assist with punch list management and project turnover documentation.
  • Support communication with clients regarding project status.
  • Assist in preparing progress reports and project updates.
  • Help maintain positive relationships with clients and project partners.
  • Promote compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
  • Participate in safety meetings and project audits.
  • Assist with documentation required by clients and regulatory agencies.
