About The Position

CAC’s Insurance Due Diligence team provides risk and insurance due diligence services to private equity and strategic buy-side clients. We evaluate the adequacy of a target’s risk and insurance programs, project post-Close costs and recommended structure, and look for opportunities to create value for the company and sponsor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, economics or insurance preferred
  • 1-3 years prior insurance experience with focus on Property & Casualty coverages preferred
  • Ability to work independently with strong multi-tasking, time management and team leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, ever-evolving environment
  • Ability to instill confidence with external and internal customers
  • Strong curiosity and eagerness to understand holistic view of risk financing and risk management concepts and application
  • Strong ability to compile, analyze, present, and interpret insurance and financial information to facilitate client decision making
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong understanding and application of business and accounting principles
  • Strong teamwork mentality
  • Maintain Property and Casualty license (can be obtained within 3 months of starting employment)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Salesforce preferred
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality

Responsibilities

  • Support lead Insurance Diligence Project Managers (“PM”) on deals and projects, acting as the liaison between the client, client’s advisors, etc., throughout the life of the deal and coordinate any transactional-related action items
  • Review virtual data rooms to extract relevant transactional and insurance related information to be distributed to the various subject matter experts
  • Assist in overall data management, email correspondence and follow ups to various deal team members
  • Work alongside the PM and various CAC specialists to review adequacy of programs and coverages based on target’s size/operations and known exposures, and deliver a due diligence report tailored to the project and the target’s risk
  • Facilitate integration of add-on acquisitions to CAC clients with support from the lead PM
  • Work cohesively alongside other CAC M&A teams throughout the transaction (e.g., Human Capital Risk, Transaction Liability) to minimize deal fatigue for the target company and deal team
  • Support the overall Diligence team in managing pipeline of deals
  • Support reporting for team metrics
