About The Position

Leidos is seeking a Junior Program Manager to support cross-program operations, proposal management, AI initiatives, and program efficiencies. This role involves serving as a point of contact for cross-program cost analysis, metrics tracking, customer communications, and deliverable management. The Junior Program Manager will track cross-program dependencies, risks, action items, and milestones, facilitating communication between program managers, technical teams, leadership, and stakeholders. Responsibilities include preparing status reports, dashboards, and briefings, monitoring program performance metrics, and supporting program reviews and operational planning. The role also involves supporting proposal development as a Proposal Manager or Deputy Proposal Manager, tracking proposal milestones, and assisting in developing growth strategies. Additionally, the Junior Program Manager will coordinate AI-related projects, track AI use cases and adoption metrics, and support the development of AI governance. Continuous improvement is a key focus, involving identifying opportunities for automation, standardization, and process optimization, developing reporting tools, and coordinating the implementation of operational improvements. Requirements

  • Experience supporting government programs
  • Experience supporting proposal development, business development, capture management, or growth activities.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies.
  • Experience supporting AI, automation
  • Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Power BI, Microsoft Project, Jira, SharePoint, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of data analytics, dashboards, and business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and executive leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as POC for Cross Program cost analysis, metrics tracking, customer communications, and deliverable management.
  • Track cross program dependencies, risks, action items, and milestones.
  • Facilitate communication between program managers, technical teams, leadership, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare status reports, dashboards, and briefings.
  • Monitor program performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support program reviews, customer meetings, and operational planning activities.
  • Serve as Proposal Manager or Deputy Proposal Manager for strategic opportunities and recompetes.
  • Support development of proposal artifacts such as BOEs, CAM Inputs, FFQs, etc.
  • Track proposal milestones, risks, deliverables, and review outcomes to ensure on-time, compliant submissions.
  • Assist Program Managers in developing growth strategies and identifying opportunities for expansion within existing contracts.
  • Coordinate AI-related projects and initiatives across business and technical teams.
  • Track AI use cases, pilots, implementation activities, and adoption metrics.
  • Monitor AI initiative progress, risks, resource needs, and outcomes.
  • Support development of AI governance, compliance, and responsible AI practices.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI technologies to improve operational effectiveness and business outcomes.
  • Organize and facilitate recurring meetings, working groups, and leadership reviews.
  • Document decisions, action items, and follow-up activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve program execution through automation, standardization, and process optimization.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reporting tools, templates, and workflow solutions.
  • Coordinate implementation of operational improvements that reduce administrative burden and increase program performance.
  • Support resource planning, workload management, and process improvement initiatives across programs.
