About The Position

This position is responsible for supporting the execution of the production schedules for our Control Valve, Filtration, and Re-Coil Assembly operations. The Junior Production Scheduler will utilize SAP to analyze MRP outputs, create and/or adjust production orders, and ensure schedule attainment to meet revenue objectives. The role serves as a key link between Planning, Production, Inventory Control, and Customer Service to maintain product availability, improve manufacturing efficiency, and identify opportunities to optimize inventory through component recovery and reassembly initiatives.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of Assembly, production scheduling, inventory control, or supply chain experience preferred.
  • Understanding of MRP concepts and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience working with ERP systems; SAP experience preferred.
  • Ability to analyze inventory and identify opportunities for inventory optimization and material recovery.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and manufacturing experience will be considered.
  • APICS/ASCM coursework or certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Execute daily and weekly production scheduling activities for Valve Assembly, Filtration Assembly, and Re-Coil Assembly work centers.
  • Review and analyze SAP MRP recommendations to create, release, modify, and maintain production orders.
  • Coordinate production priorities with manufacturing supervisors to ensure schedules are executed efficiently and customer requirements are met.
  • Monitor inventory levels and production requirements to ensure adequate supply of finished goods and components.
  • Identify opportunities to utilize excess, slow-moving, or obsolete inventory through teardown, rework, or reassembly activities to support high-demand products.
  • Work closely with Material Planning, Inventory Control, Manufacturing, and Customer Service to address shortages, schedule conflicts, and changing customer requirements.
  • Maintain and support Bills of Material (BOMs) within SAP.
  • Monitor key scheduling metrics including production attainment, schedule adherence, inventory availability, and customer service performance.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, material shortages, and scheduling exceptions and recommend corrective actions.
  • Generate and distribute production reports and schedule status updates as required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory reduction, schedule stability, and operational efficiency.
