This role is responsible for carrying out supervisory duties in accordance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and applicable laws. The Jr. Processing Supervisor is expected to demonstrate strong leadership skills that support employee engagement, accountability, and team performance, while assisting employees in achieving operational goals related to quality, efficiency, workplace safety, and food safety standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Must be able to supervise up to 25 employees.
  • Must be able to work in a wet and cool environment.
  • Strong communication skills necessary.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Familiar with HACCP and GMP practices.
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
  • High School Diploma (required).

Nice To Haves

  • Seafood knowledge a plus.
  • Bilingual: Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor Degree preferred; a combination of education and/or experience in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate employees activities on the production floor.
  • Responsible for a specific line with emphasis on PBO and/or Skin Pack, as needed.
  • Create Work Orders/Manufacturing Orders in ERP System.
  • Ensure work orders are completed in a timely manner.
  • 80%-90% of the time will be spent on the production floor, verifying all processes are in accordance with company policies.
  • Ensure production team abide by GMP’s, safety, sanitation and other regulations.
  • Develop a positive work environment withtin the team and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Communicate with the organization regarding challenges- affecting the team and daily targets.
  • Collaborate with the production team to facilitate the coordination of operational activities, across multiple departments.
