The Junior/Intermediate Planner/Scheduler is responsible for working closely with the operations group, including planning, scheduling, forecasting, and schedule risk management. They will ensure the project schedule is effectively managed through the various phases of construction for the project. Ability to hold a secret-level security clearance, an asset This role is based in Ottawa, Ontario What You Will Be Working On What You Will Be Working On Assist the Planning & Scheduling Manager to update the project schedule or portions of it weekly, by analyzing work performed in the field and communicating with the operations group to obtain schedule update information (Actual Start/Finish Dates, Forecasted Start/Finish Dates, Actual Progress, Changes to Schedule Logic, Additional Scopes of Work). Provide analysis of schedule data to identify key project issues. Assist in coordinating schedule inputs from all parts of the project. Identify and analyze schedule variances and recommend associated corrective actions. Assist the Planning & Scheduling Manager in presenting the project schedule to the client. Participate in the development of WBS and help ensure project coding is effectively used for all applications. Ability to generate estimates, utilize drawings and specifications as a basis for structuring the project schedule, is a nice-to-have skill. Assist the Project Manager in measuring progress and reviewing the subcontractor’s progress. Conduct or assist in performance measurement and associated schedule trends. Assist in the preparation of various levels of project reports to meet project needs. Ensure internal and external deadlines are met consistently and coordinate trades and internal teams in planning & Scheduling discussions. Assist the regional teams, setting pursuit strategies related to project schedules as directed. Developing 4D schedules that are integrated with 4D Models.
