About The Position

You will be joining our North America Contracts team (US and Canada). Carta Law is the largest AI-native law firm for private capital, born from the combination of Avantia Law and Carta. Our lawyers and paralegals work alongside embedded AI agents to deliver investor onboarding, transaction KYC, and high-volume legal work with a speed and consistency that traditional law firms simply can't match. As a Junior Paralegal, you will rotate across or specialise within one of three practice areas depending on your strengths and interests.

Requirements

Has bachelor's degree in law or equivalent is preferred
Eager to learn and grow. You are motivated, curious, and excited to develop expertise in legal practice – whether that is compliance, contracts, or funds
Organised and efficient. You prioritize well, manage competing deadlines, and keep matters moving without losing attention to detail

Nice To Haves

prior exposure to NDAs or KYC processes is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

Support lawyers with first-round markups of investment-related NDAs and commercial contracts
Manage document lifecycles, track deadlines, communicate with counterparties, and assist with execution
Work closely with lawyers and senior paralegals, contributing to high-quality client delivery across fast-moving, high-volume matters
Build commercial and legal expertise over time, with opportunities to take ownership of client accounts and progress towards qualification via the SQE route
