About The Position
We are seeking a Junior Network Engineer to join our team for a full-time, remote position. This role is with a Federal client and requires the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance due to the sensitive nature of the work. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in network engineering or IT infrastructure, with a strong understanding of networking protocols and experience supporting production environments.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering or IT infrastructure.
- CCNA or JNCIA certification.
- Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network equipment.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, TCP/IP, MPLS, and Spanning Tree.
- Experience with wireless networking, network monitoring, and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to support production environments, on-call rotations, and break/fix activities.
- Experience creating technical documentation, network diagrams, and operating procedures.
- Familiarity with network deployments, site surveys, and hardware validation/testing.
- Strong communication, customer service, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to obtain Public Trust Clearance.
- Must be able to ship due to federal regulations and the sensitive nature of the work involved.
Nice To Haves
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- Python and Ansible scripting experience.
Responsibilities
