About The Position

The Junior Multi-Disciplined Engineer - Network Management/System Administration supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. We are seeking a versatile and capable Multidisciplined Engineer (MDE) to assist with designing, implementation, and managing complex network infrastructure and hardware systems. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between system administration and hands-on physical infrastructure management, ensuring secure and seamless operational capabilities.

Requirements

  • 4, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience (May be reduced with completion of advanced education)
  • 2, or more, years of directly related experience
  • Experience with Network Management (Cross connection of networks, Systems, and Infrastructure)
  • Experience with System Design and Implementation
  • Experience with Maintenance and Troubleshooting of routers, switches, and end user systems
  • Experience with computer hardware maintenance and repair
  • Familiar with general Windows and Linux OS systems, Enterprise, programming languages, and Office software.
  • Active DoW Secret Security Clearance
  • Good communication skills
  • Broad technical baseline spanning physical layer troubleshooting (including fiber optics), operating system administration, and network security

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Project Support & Management
  • Experience troubleshooting complex software and hardware issues to include cross connections, fiber splicing and termination.
  • Knowledge of database and networking security systems.
  • A current Sec+ Certification (or any other DoW IAT II certification)
  • An active DoW Top Secret with SCI eligibility (or ability to get one)

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the cross-connection of networks, disparate systems, and overall IT infrastructure engineering to ensure reliable connectivity and data flow.
  • Help architect, deploy, and integrate robust hardware and software systems tailored to enterprise operational needs.
  • Proactively maintain systems and rapidly resolve complex software and physical hardware issues, specifically including hands-on cross-connections, fiber splicing, and termination.
  • Support technical projects from the ground up, ensuring milestones, technical deliverables, and operational requirements are met on schedule.
  • Apply foundational knowledge of database and networking security systems to safeguard enterprise environments and mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Work asset management, first response incident management, and documentation of all corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to enhance technical solutions and infrastructure management.
  • Work other tasks and duties, as assigned, in support of the GM program.
