Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of Food Manufacturing experience.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Collaborative work style.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Dessert Manufacturing Facility or Bakery experience.
  • Strong BRC (or similar GFSI) knowledge or experience.
  • Strong knowledge of WHMIS, Chemical Handling, HACCP, GMP, OHSA and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Verify specifications on each batch and scan in immediately for accuracy of reporting.
  • Ensure food safety compliance and specified quality parameters are met in each run.
  • Ensure product area paperwork and documentation is accurate.
  • Ensure food and personal safety hazards are corrected quickly and effectively to meet company and legislative requirements.
  • Prompt resolution and follow through on issues and escalate when required.
  • Understands high care and allergen requirements.
  • Understanding daily schedules.
  • Discuss changeovers and how they affect performance.
  • Understands how to operate various types of machinery safely.
  • Knows process of cooking ganache, caramel, and apple filling.
  • Knows process of pastry and crumb.
  • Able to train General Labourers on tasks.
  • Can complete some Mixes independently.
  • Other tasks, as assigned.
