About The Position

Advanced Technology & Research Corporation (ATRCORP) is seeking a full-time Junior Mechanical Engineer to join their Engineering Services Division. The role involves working at a government client site at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock, MD, as a Test and Evaluation engineer. The primary focus will be on the development and execution of the US Navy’s Underwater Electromagnetic (UEM) Signatures Silencing program. Responsibilities include supporting Navy Surface Ships and Submarine on-board countermeasure systems, fleet support, ensuring proper testing and evaluation of UEM, navigation, communication, and tracking systems, and providing technical assistance and training to Navy operators.

Requirements

Minimum Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
Experience using solid modeling, analysis, and evaluation of structural/component design
Experience with mechanical measurement tools and techniques
Experience with developing technical solutions based on analysis or testing
Experience with SOLIDWORKS, MATLAB, AutoCAD, C++, Python, Power Point, MS Word & Excel
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national security background investigation

Nice To Haves

Internship experience with the Navy or other DoD laboratories
Current successful background investigation completion
