About The Position

Torch Technologies is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to support the Air Vehicle team within the System Program Office (SPO). As a Junior Mechanical Engineer, your duties will include evaluating contractor proposals for executable plans for major refurbishment and conversion of B-52 pylons and rotary launchers in support of a new missile program. You will manage and technically evaluate changes to design and production documentation, analyze and inspect components for structural integrity and corrosion, and review and provide recommended changes to drawing packages. Additionally, you will review and evaluate mechanically-oriented program and production process documentation and quality standards, evaluate production Validation and Verification and test plans, and recommend suitable substitutions for obsolete parts and evaluate deviations and variations to approved documentation.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical, aerospace, systems engineering, or equivalent discipline.
  • Up to 3 years' relevant experience.
  • Active interim Secret security clearance is required at hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Design or manufacturing experience
  • TS/SC at hire preferred.
  • System and subsystem qualification analysis and test experience is desired.
  • Thermal engineering, Propulsion experience a plus.
  • Program office experience is also desired.
