Advertising and Promotions at Crown Publishing Group seeks a Junior Designer to join our dynamic team of designers, copywriters, and a project manager. This position requires strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to work on a variety of projects in an intense and fast-paced environment. The Junior Designer will manage simultaneous digital, print, motion, and out of home advertising and promotional projects to support marketing efforts across web, social, and email platforms. This individual will be an active team member who creates and executes customized campaigns across our list. Crown is renowned as the go-to publisher of narrative and idea-driven nonfiction. As the preferred publisher of presidents and celebrities, Crown is responsible for some of the most high-profile publications of our time, including Michelle Obama’s Becoming, Susan Cain’s Quiet, Matthew McConaughey’s Greenlights, Matthew Desmond’s Evicted, and Erik Larson’s The Demon of Unrest. Fiction titles include Virginia Evans’ The Correspondent, Liane Moriarty’s Big Little Truths, Brooke Averick’s Phoebe Berman’s Gonna Lose It, and Christ Whitaker’s All the Colors of the Dark. Clarkson Potter and Ten Speed Press publish today’s most influential and innovative voices in the cooking, drinks, pop culture, children’s, graphic novel, and lifestyle categories, and are the home of such celebrated voices as Ina Garten, Martha Stewart, Yotam Ottolenghi, MrBallen, The New York Times, Dungeons & Dragons, Marie Kondo, Alison Roman, and Claire Saffitz to name but a few. Reporting to the Senior Director, the ideal candidate will be a creative, collaborative, and enthusiastic designer with interest in working across a variety of book genres in close collaboration with marketing teams.
