About The Position

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Harley, Ontario. Standard working hours are either 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with no on-call responsibilities for this role. Stubbe’s is a family-owned company with a modern, enterprise-grade IT environment supporting multiple production facilities, a head office, a mechanic shop, and branch locations across the region. Our newest manufacturing plant features advanced automation and robotics, making this an exciting place to build your technical skills. Our IT team consists of seven infrastructure and support professionals alongside twelve software developers. We work with Windows Server, virtualization, Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Intune, and Entra ID), enterprise networking, PowerShell automation, and cybersecurity technologies. You’ll be part of a collaborative team where questions are encouraged, ideas are welcomed, and learning never stops.

Requirements

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • A genuine interest in technology and a willingness to learn.
  • Some IT experience through education, certifications, co-op placements, personal projects, or hands-on work.
  • Confidence using Windows operating systems.
  • Strong communication skills and patience when helping non-technical users.
  • A valid Ontario driver’s licence and reliable transportation.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • The ability to work full-time on-site in Harley, Ontario.

Nice To Haves

  • A diploma, degree, or certificate in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Experience using a help desk or ticketing system.
  • Experience configuring Windows 11 or macOS devices.
  • Familiarity with iOS and Android devices.
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, switches, routers, and Wi-Fi).
  • Hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • Exposure to Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Intune, or cybersecurity tools.
  • CompTIA A+ or a similar certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level hardware and software support to employees across the company.
  • Travel to branch locations as needed to provide on-site support.
  • Log, troubleshoot, escalate, and resolve help desk tickets.
  • Configure and support Windows 11 and macOS computers, iPhones, Android devices, printers, and manufacturing equipment.
  • Create and manage user and computer accounts in Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune.
  • Assist with IT projects and technology rollouts.
  • Support basic networking tasks alongside our system administrators.
  • Help identify and respond to cybersecurity issues.
