About The Position

The Junior IT Project Controller supports the financial management and controlling of IT transformation and build-up projects within a newly established stand-alone organization. The role provides transparency on project budgets, costs, forecasts, and financial risks while working closely with IT, Finance, Procurement, and Project Management teams to support successful project delivery and establish sustainable IT controlling processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Controlling, Economics, IT, or a related field.
  • Initial professional experience in Controlling, Finance, IT Controlling, or Project Controlling.
  • Basic understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with a structured and detail-oriented working style.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with SAP or other ERP/reporting tools is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently, manage assigned responsibilities, and thrive in a fast-paced transformation environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

  • Support financial controlling activities across IT transformation and infrastructure build-up projects.
  • Assist project managers with budget planning, forecasting, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Monitor project budgets, actual costs, purchase orders, invoices, commitments, and CAPEX/OPEX spending.
  • Prepare project controlling reports, financial analyses, and management summaries.
  • Analyze budget, forecast, and actual variances, highlighting potential risks and deviations.
  • Support accruals, period-end closing activities, and vendor cost tracking.
  • Ensure transparency and accuracy of project financial data across multiple workstreams.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of IT controlling processes, reporting structures, and governance.
