About The Position

The Junior IT Developer - Shared Services Center role focuses on developing and implementing software applications and scripts to automate processes, providing technical support, integrating data, maintaining APIs, and ensuring system reliability. This position involves troubleshooting, updating software and databases, and assisting with user onboarding and workstation setup. The role also requires managing tickets, ensuring network security through multi-factor authentication, and handling customer follow-ups and feedback. Additionally, the developer will manage other IT projects as assigned by the Director of IT.

Requirements

  • Adept at working independently and collaboratively.
  • Working knowledge of various office productivity software programs, such as Microsoft Office products and communication hardware/software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and able to effectively communicate effectively.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and troubleshooting applications within an Active Directory environment.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or C#.
  • Familiarity of understanding SQL and relational databases.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Accustomed to working regularly with desktop, notebook, handheld, and server computer hardware.
  • Ability to work with local and wide area network design, implementation, and operation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or working toward computer science, Information Technology degree, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
  • One year of experience in software development and data analysis.
  • Valid driver’s license without restrictions that affects your ability to operate company owned vehicle(s) and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
  • Ability to set a positive example for others by consistently displaying servant leadership behaviors in daily actions and decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement software applications and scripts to automate data collection, processing, and analysis.
  • Provide technical support to outside departments, answer questions, and collect user feedback to improve applications.
  • Integrate data from diverse sources and ensure the smooth flow of information through data pipelines.
  • Develop and maintain APIs that empower stakeholders to access and manipulate data efficiently.
  • Identify and resolve code issues to guarantee efficient and reliable system operation.
  • Keep existing software applications and databases up-to-date and functioning optimally.
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers.
  • Modify configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. for the local workstation.
  • Assist Human Resources with the onboarding of new users.
  • Install, test, and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment, and software.
  • Record events and problems and their resolution in tickets.
  • Use personal device to provide an additional layer of security for company network and site access through multi-factor authentication.
  • Follow-up and update customer status and information.
  • Pass on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal teams.
  • Manage other projects as requested by the Director of IT.
