About The Position

Join us as a Junior Instrumentation & Controls Technologist / Drafter and begin your career supporting real‑world industrial and energy projects. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and technologists, gaining hands‑on exposure to instrumentation and controls design while building a strong technical foundation in a collaborative, learning‑focused environment.

Requirements

  • A technical diploma in instrumentation, electrical engineering technology, or a related discipline.
  • 0–2 years of experience, including co‑op, internship, or entry‑level exposure to industrial or energy environments.
  • Foundational understanding of instrumentation systems; exposure to heavy industrial or energy projects is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD; interest or exposure to 3D CADD tools is an advantage.
  • A proactive learner with a collaborative mindset and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and updating of P&IDs, ensuring instrumentation and control elements are accurately reflected under guidance from senior team members.
  • Support the development and maintenance of instrumentation indexes, datasheets, and drawing packages.
  • Contribute to E&I design activities across project phases while learning industry standards and client requirements.
  • Help assemble engineering deliverables, calculations, and documentation for internal and client review.
  • Participate in vendor document reviews and equipment data verification with technical support.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support safe, efficient, and constructible designs.
