About The Position

The Junior Instructional Designer is an exciting entry-level opportunity for a creative, and detail-oriented individual looking to build a career in Learning & Development. Working alongside experienced instructional design professionals, this position helps create engaging training materials and learning experiences that support employee growth and contribute to Credit Union 1's success. This position is open to a hybrid work schedule. Candidate's must reside in Alaska to be considered for this role.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma, or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of experience on a learning & development (training) team.
  • Basic understanding of instructional design principles.
  • Proficiency in using Articulate 360 for e-learning development.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
  • Basic understanding of adult learning principles and their application in instructional design.
  • Basic project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems and their administration.
  • Continuous learning mindset and a commitment to staying abreast of industry trends and best practices.
  • Creativity and a keen eye for design to create visually appealing and engaging learning experiences.
  • Responsible for abiding and complying with the policy for compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering laws and regulations (BSA/AML) and the policy for compliance with office of foreign assets control laws and regulations (OFAC).
  • Must reside in Alaska to be considered for this role.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of training courses for various initiatives.
  • Utilize Articulate 360 to create interactive and engaging online courses.
  • Record and edit instructional videos to enhance the learning experience.
  • Develop assessments to measure the effectiveness of knowledge transfer and training outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to departmental standards throughout the instructional design process.
  • Apply adult learning principles to create meaningful and impactful learning experiences.
  • Craft visually appealing and engaging learning materials to enhance the overall learning experience.
  • Assist with Learning Management System (LMS) administrative tasks, including content uploading and user management.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in instructional design methodologies to continuously improve training programs.
  • Provide support for ad-hoc training-related tasks and projects as needed.
