About The Position

BRMi is seeking a Junior Instructional Designer to support a large financial enterprise in a hybrid work environment. This role involves assisting in the creation of educational and training materials, collaborating with experts, and applying instructional design principles to enhance learning experiences. The position is hybrid, requiring three days per week in the office in Vienna, VA, Pensacola, FL, or Winchester, VA. In-person interviews are required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-5 years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning & Development, Human Performance Improvement, or a related field.
  • 1+ year of instructional design experience.
  • Proficient with Articulate Rise and Storyline.
  • Experience conducting needs analyses and developing performance-based learning solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and developing: eLearning, Virtual instructor-led training, Job aids and performance support tools.
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Experience partnering with SMEs and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in creating educational and training materials.
  • Collaborates with experts.
  • Applies instructional design principles to enhance learning experiences.
  • Supports the development of instructional content and learning experiences.
  • Designs and develops instructional materials such as e-learning modules, instructor-led training, training manuals, and instructional videos.
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts (SMEs) and senior instructional designers to gather content, insights, and ensure accuracy.
  • Applies instructional design models and adult learning theories to create engaging, interactive, and effective learning experiences.
  • Tests and revises materials based on feedback and learner evaluations to improve effectiveness.
  • Stays updated on instructional design trends and tools, including e-learning authoring software and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
