About The Position

Boyd Gaming Corporation is a premier casino entertainment company in the United States. We are seeking a Junior Host to encourage customer retention and loyalty through direct contact, direct mail, telemarketing, and written correspondence. This role involves recruiting new members for the Players' Club, increasing rated play, and attending to guests' needs. The Junior Host will interact with customers to promote loyalty, respond to inquiries, and recruit players through various direct sales activities. Additionally, the role supports Casino Hosts with Player Development events, reservations, and special event planning. The Junior Host will also issue comps, complete necessary forms, inform guests about events, represent the company at functions, and participate in marketing events to cultivate guest loyalty. Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One to two years of experience in customer service.
  • Excellent oral and written skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility in work schedule.
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation, e-mail, and player tracking systems.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses as required by local gaming regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Encourage customer retention and loyalty through direct contact, direct mail, telemarketing, and written correspondence.
  • Recruit new memberships for the Players' Club and increase rated play.
  • Attend to guests' needs and interact with customers to promote customer loyalty.
  • Respond to customer questions, inquiries, concerns, requests, and needs.
  • Recruit players through a variety of direct sales activities such as direct mail, telemarketing, referrals, guest visitation, and on/off-site events.
  • Assist Casino Hosts with Player Development events, hotel and restaurant reservations, and special event reservations.
  • Issue comps to players based on established comping guidelines.
  • Complete room reservation forms, credit applications, and VIP service forms as needed.
  • Ensure guests are aware of events and represent the company at functions and special events.
  • Assist with/participate in marketing events as needed to ensure development of one-on-one relationships to cultivate guest loyalty.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
