About The Position

Holy Rosary Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and faith-filled Junior High Science Teacher to join our vibrant learning community. Serving students in grades 6–8, the ideal candidate will foster a love of science while integrating Catholic values and teachings into daily instruction. This teacher will inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper appreciation for God’s creation through engaging, hands-on learning experiences.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field.
Valid state teaching certification (or ability to obtain certification).
Practicing Catholic preferred, with a commitment to the mission of Catholic education.
Prior teaching experience at the middle school level preferred.
Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
Ability to integrate faith and learning effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver rigorous, standards-based science instruction for junior high students (life, physical, and earth sciences).
Develop and implement lesson plans that incorporate inquiry-based learning, experimentation, and real-world applications.
Integrate Catholic teachings and values across the curriculum, promoting respect for the dignity of all creation.
Create a positive, structured, and faith-centered classroom environment conducive to learning.
Assess student progress regularly and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
Utilize technology effectively to enhance instruction and student engagement.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance.
Collaborate with faculty and staff to support school-wide initiatives and student success.
Communicate regularly and professionally with parents/guardians.
Participate in school liturgies and school community events.
Uphold and model the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church
