About The Position

The Junior High Math Teacher will be responsible for teaching math to students in grades 6-8 at Coloma Junior High School. This is a full-time position that requires a passion for teaching and a dedication to helping students succeed in math.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in education from an accredited college or university
Valid teaching certificate endorsement BX, BA or BQ and secondary area of certification preferred
Strong knowledge of math concepts and the ability to explain them in a clear and engaging manner
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working with students in a classroom or tutoring setting
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and administrators
Dedication to helping students succeed in math and achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities

Teach math to students in grades 6-8
Develop lesson plans and instructional materials that meet the needs of students with diverse learning styles
Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
Collaborate with other teachers to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practices in math education
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant data
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress
Create a positive classroom environment that promotes learning and encourages student engagement
