About The Position

We are seeking a High School Math Teacher to foster a welcoming, growth-oriented classroom environment that encourages mathematical inquiry, problem-solving, and resilience. The ideal candidate will utilize data-driven and differentiated instruction to meet individual student learning needs and close achievement gaps. Building strong, supportive relationships with students, families, and school staff through clear, proactive communication is essential. A commitment to inclusive practices and supporting the success of all learners by recognizing and valuing the diverse backgrounds of students and families is expected.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Secondary Education, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Valid State of Michigan Teaching Certificate with a Secondary Mathematics endorsement (EX or EX/MA) required.

Nice To Haves

• Prior secondary teaching experience or successful completion of student teaching in high school mathematics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, standards-based mathematics curriculum across required courses.
• Assess student progress regularly using formative and summative tools, using data to adjust teaching strategies and provide targeted interventions.
• Maintain an orderly, safe, and positive classroom management environment conducive to learning and student well-being.
• Participate actively in department meetings, staff development, school-wide events, and parent-teacher conferences.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to equity, social justice, and inclusion in all practices and position responsibilities.
