About The Position
While our teams have been successful we value sportsmanship and academic success above all else. The coach MUST be an advocate for the multiple sport athletes and encourage their players to participate in more than one sport.
Requirements
- IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (if you possess one)
- First Aid & CPR certification
- NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching
- NFHS Concussion in Sports
- NFHS Sport Specific – Basketball
- NFHS Sportsmanship
- NFHS Heat Illness Prevention
- NFHS Creating a Safe and Respectful Environment
- NFHS Engaging Effectively with Parents
Responsibilities
- Coach 8th Grade Boys Basketball
- Advocate for multiple sport athletes
- Encourage players to participate in more than one sport
- Develop a yearly plan of action for the program
- Implement supervision methods, practices, and procedures
