About The Position
We are seeking a Junior GIS Technician to support GIS operations through map production, spatial data maintenance, and geospatial data processing activities.
Requirements
- GIS software proficiency
- Cartographic design and map production experience
- Spatial data editing skills
- Knowledge of GIS and CAD integration concepts
- Strong attention to detail
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Engineering Technology, Environmental Science, or related field
- 1–3 years of GIS experience
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, AutoCAD, or related software
Responsibilities
- Create and update GIS maps, exhibits, and cartographic products.
- Perform spatial and attribute data editing and validation.
- Assist with digitizing, georeferencing, and data conversion activities.
- Support GIS database maintenance and data organization.
- Develop map templates and standardized layouts.
- Produce thematic maps and visual presentations.
- Assist with GPS and field data collection efforts.
- Maintain GIS metadata and documentation.
