About The Position
We are looking for a motivated Junior GIS Analyst who's ready to jump into real project work and grow within a multidisciplinary engineering environment. If you enjoy solving spatial problems, building clean datasets, and supporting engineers with maps and analysis that actually get used, this role is for you.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and basic geoprocessing tools
- Familiarity with data formats such as shapefiles, geodatabases, CAD files, and spreadsheets
- Strong attention to detail and an interest in learning engineering-focused GIS workflows
- Solid communication skills and the ability to work with technical and non-technical teammates
Nice To Haves
- Python/ArcPy exposure
- QGIS experience
- GPS data collection
- Coursework in remote sensing
Responsibilities
- Support civil engineering teams with GIS mapping, data management, and spatial analysis
- Create high-quality maps, figures, and exhibits for reports, proposals, and field teams
- Maintain and update geodatabases, feature classes, and metadata
- Perform spatial queries, geoprocessing tasks, and basic modeling
- Assist with field data collection and integration (GPS, mobile apps, survey data)
- Help standardize workflows, templates, and data QA/QC processes
- Collaborate with project managers to understand requirements and deliver accurate GIS products on schedule
