About The Position
Impact Fire Services is seeking a motivated Junior Fire Sprinkler Designer to join their design team. This entry-level position supports the development of fire sprinkler system layouts, drawings, and project documentation under the guidance of experienced designers and engineers. Requirements
- Associate degree, technical coursework, or relevant experience in drafting, engineering, construction, or a related field preferred.
- Basic AutoCAD or CAD software experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to fire protection, sprinkler, or construction industries.
- Familiarity with NFPA 13 standards.
- Previous drafting or CAD experience.
- Hydraulic calculations
- Hydrant flow testing
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing fire sprinkler system layouts and drawings using AutoCAD or similar software.
- Support the design team with project documentation, submittals, permits, and closeout packages.
- Review work orders, drawings, and project specifications.
- Coordinate design revisions and updates based on project requirements.
- Maintain accurate project records and drawing files.
- Assist with basic calculations, measurements, and drafting tasks.
- Work with engineering and design staff to support project completion.
