About The Position

As a Junior Field Services Engineer, you will be delivering a wide range of services including standard maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and calibration of Waygate Technologies equipment. You will be working on Phoenix 2D & 3D CT X-ray testing machine hardware and software at both Waygate and customer locations. This role requires extensive travel, expected to exceed 70%. After completing a rigorous technical training program, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing industrial X-ray systems and supporting peripheral equipment such as X-ray tubes, generators, coolers, scanners, stepper motors/controllers, power supplies, high-voltage control circuits, motion control systems, and high-end PCs. You will also provide technical support to customers via phone and on-site service visits, complete service reports, invoicing packages, and administrative documentation in a timely manner, drive customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality service and honoring commitments, and monitor site safety throughout the execution of all work scopes.

Requirements

  • A four-year technical degree (AEET, AMET) with experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment OR a four-year degree in Electronics (BSEET, BSEE) or Mechanics (BSMET, BSME).
  • Ability to regularly lift/move up to 20 lbs. and frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to undergo background checks including employment verification, criminal history, driving record, and education.
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time.
  • A valid driver’s license and passport (or the ability to obtain one).
  • Valid U.S. citizenship status.
  • Current work authorization in the country of employment.

Responsibilities
