DoD SkillBridge Internship: Junior Estimator
About The Position
This opportunity is exclusive to U.S. military members currently serving on active duty and eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge Program. This is not a civilian or student internship. The Junior Estimator supports the estimating team in preparing accurate and competitive estimates for construction projects. Responsibilities include reviewing drawings and specifications, analyzing subcontractor bids, assisting with scope comparisons, and supporting bid submissions. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
Requirements
- Demonstrate interest in construction management or the construction industry
- Have served at least 180 days on active duty
- Be eligible to participate during the final six months of military service prior to separation or retirement
- Be expected to receive an honorable discharge
- Have completed the Transition Assistance Program (TAP/TGPS)
- Have attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months
- Received Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) written authorization and approval to participate in DoD SkillBridge Program prior to start of the internship
- Strong analytical skills

- Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment
