About The Position
Company is looking to hire a junior electrical estimator. This role requires proficiency in electrical estimating software, the ability to read blueprints and perform quantity takeoffs, and strong analytical and detail-oriented thinking. A background in electrical engineering or project management is beneficial for understanding the pricing scope.
Requirements
- Electrical Estimating Software Proficiency (McCormick, Accubid, or Bluebeam)
- Blueprint Reading and Quantity Takeoff
- Analytical and Detail-Oriented Thinking
- Basic math and analytical skills
- Electrical engineering or project management foundation
Nice To Haves
- Estimation of HV builds
Responsibilities
- Working knowledge of or ability to quickly learn industry tools like McCormick, Accubid, or Bluebeam for takeoffs and bid preparation.
- Comfort with digital drawing review and markup is a must.
- Ability to interpret electrical construction drawings and specifications to accurately identify scope, materials, and labor requirements.
- Support accurate cost estimation through basic math and analytical skills.
